The Asahi Pentax, to camera collectors, the AP, was a major progress in the 35mm SLR field of cameras when introduced in 1957. It is the first “modern” Japanese camera, combining a pleasing body design with easily handled controls.

The Asahi Pentax SV was launched in 1963, a purely mechanical film SLR so it runs without batteries and does not have in-built light meter.

1) Camera body: Overall cosmetic condition is excellent, light usage marks on body from normal wear. Bright and clear viewfinder, minor dust, does not obstruct view, no fog/fungus. All dials functioning. Self-timer positive. Film advance and winder smoothly operating as it should. All mechanical functions thoroughly tested, in fully working order. 

2) Lens: Excellent condition. Clear lens with no fungus or haze, faint specs of dust present that will not show up in your images. Focusing and aperture ring smoothly operating as it should.
