The Canon AE-1 Program is one of the most popular cameras of all time, and for very good reason: it is a spectacular camera. Picking up where the original AE-1 (1976) and A-1 (1978) left off, the AE-1 program is a highpoint in all of photography's history. This is no doubt an all-rounded excellent camera, it is also perfect as an introductory beginners SLR - in a nutshell, it is a manual SLR camera that also gives you the option for automatic shooting, aka: Programmed AE mode, in which the camera sets both the shutter speed and aperture! There is also shutter-speed priority mode and manual shooting option.
The Canon AE-1 Program is suitable for all skill levels of photographers, particularly it makes for a great beginner's SLR!
This Canon AE-1 Program Kit is equipped with the top-of-the-line standard FD S.C. wide lens -- with its incredible optics the 28mm focal length is perfect for a massive variety of photography, especially great for street photography, snap shots, architectural shooting, landscapes, travel photography and more! Excellent for those that enjoy a camera you can bring on-the-go.
